Up until 2000 brand new Vespa 50s, 100 and 125ET3 models were sold in Japan as the Vintage Series. The sole distributor was Narikawa. These guides were produced in Japanese by Motorino Del Vento, a Japanese dealer. I have copied them onto my own server rather than directly linked to them because they use javascript pop-ups which defeat Babelfish, and with the demise of the models, will soon be unavailable on the original site. So I have done the hard work of translating every single page for you. Where I could figure out what Babelfish was on about I put some proper English instead of the straight translation. However you will find some items which seem to make no sense at all. They didn't make any sense to me either, so I left the original Babelfish translation in there. If some kind hearted Japanese/English speaking person would like to provide proper translations from the Original site I would be eternally grateful. You'd get a credit too.

Largest aerodynamic volume
displacement scooter of the vintage series The body size is the same as the 50S, but the headlight shell (around the handlebars) going around is large. When you compare the ignition key and the side box, the sport silencer, CDI ignition, and so on to the 100, the equipment has become luxurious. It has become those of the making which also the brake drum does firmly. But method of being effective that much is not. The highest speed is approximately 90km/H there is a tolerably power. If 4 speed gearbox is used well, brisk running is possible. However, because the big engine is mounted to the very limit of clearance of the cylinder head and the body, over a bumpy road there are times when the spark plug cap can be broken. Especially when carrying two riders. The clutch is heavy because the spring has been strengthened, when you compare with the 100. 4 gears make sporty running possible, but when manner of change is designated as the rough, the amount which is power in the opposite direction being pain to be easy, shifting securely heart per seat is one is good. Finally, If it is sportiness you seek, it probably is the ET3. |
